What is a Hunter Douglas Gallery dealer?

A Hunter Douglas Gallery dealer holds the brand's highest level of designation. It means we are authorized to display and sell the complete Hunter Douglas product line — every product category, every fabric, every finish, every automation system. Most Hunter Douglas dealers operate from limited product kits representing only a fraction of what the brand offers. As a Gallery dealer, our showroom contains the full suite of working displays so you can see, touch, and operate every product before deciding.

What makes J Bradwells different from other Hunter Douglas dealers in the area?

J Bradwells is the only Hunter Douglas Gallery-level dealer in the New Hope and Lambertville area. We also hold the Hunter Douglas Aura designation and carry the exclusive Hunter Douglas Carole Fabric Division — hundreds of designer fabrics available in motorized and non-motorized treatments. No other local dealer offers this combination. When you shop with us, you see the full picture, not a limited selection.

What is the Hunter Douglas Aura designation?

The Aura designation recognizes dealers who meet Hunter Douglas's highest standards for product knowledge, customer service, and showroom quality. It is awarded in addition to the Gallery designation and reflects a commitment to excellence at every step of the client experience.

Does J Bradwells carry all Hunter Douglas products?

Yes. As a full Gallery dealer we carry the complete Hunter Douglas line, including Duette Honeycomb Shades, Silhouette Window Shadings, Luminette Privacy Sheers, Pirouette Window Shadings, Vignette Modern Roman Shades, Provenance Woven Wood Shades, Sonnette Cellular Roller Shades, Palm Beach Polysatin Shutters, Parkland Wood Shutters, Everwood Alternative Wood Blinds, and the full PowerView Automation system including PowerView Gen 3.

What is PowerView Automation and can J Bradwells install it?

PowerView is Hunter Douglas's motorized window treatment system. It allows you to control shades, blinds, and sheers by app, voice command (Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, and more), or scheduled automations. PowerView Gen 3 is the latest generation and offers the most seamless smart home integration. Yes — we design, supply, and install the full PowerView system, including integration with your existing smart home.

Is Hunter Douglas worth the investment compared to less expensive options?

Hunter Douglas products are engineered with proprietary mechanisms, fabrics, and materials not available from other brands. Most carry the Hunter Douglas Limited Lifetime Warranty covering defects for as long as you own your home. When you factor in durability, depth of customization, and the warranty, the long-term value is significant. We are happy to walk you through options at every price point.

Does Hunter Douglas offer a warranty?

Most Hunter Douglas products are covered by the Hunter Douglas Limited Lifetime Warranty, which covers defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product for the original purchaser. We will always review the applicable warranty before you purchase.

What types of window treatments does J Bradwells offer?

We offer the full range of Hunter Douglas window treatments — shades, blinds, sheers, shutters, and woven woods — as well as custom draperies and soft treatments from our in-house workroom. Motorized and automated versions are available for nearly every product. Whether you need light filtering, room darkening, UV protection, privacy, or a combination, we will find the right solution for every room.

What is the difference between blinds, shades, and sheers?

Blinds have individual slats that tilt to control light and privacy. Shades are made from a single piece of fabric or material that raises and lowers — they come in cellular, roller, Roman, and woven wood styles. Sheers allow diffused light while providing a measure of privacy and are often layered with other treatments. Our designers will explain the practical and aesthetic differences during your consultation.

What is the process from first contact to installation?

Our process has five steps: (1) Free in-home consultation — we assess your windows, discuss your goals, and take precise measurements. (2) Product selection — we present options from our full Gallery showroom. (3) Custom order — every Hunter Douglas product is made to order for your exact window dimensions. (4) Professional installation — our team handles everything. (5) Follow-up — we check in after installation to ensure your complete satisfaction. From order to installation, most products take 2 to 4 weeks.

How long does installation take?

Most installations are completed in a single visit, typically between 2 and 4 hours depending on the number of windows and complexity of the products. Motorized and automated systems may take slightly longer to configure.

How long does it take to receive my Hunter Douglas order?

Most orders are completed and ready for installation within 2 to 4 weeks from the date of order. We will give you a specific timeframe at time of order.

Do you offer custom draperies?

Yes. J Bradwells operates a full in-house workroom for custom draperies, curtains, valances, and soft window treatments — made to your exact specifications in fabric of your choosing. We are also an exclusive dealer for the Hunter Douglas Carole Fabric Division, offering hundreds of designer fabrics available for motorized and non-motorized treatments.

Do you offer financing for Hunter Douglas products?

Yes. Financing options are available through Hunter Douglas for qualifying purchases. Ask us about current financing promotions when you visit or call.

Does J Bradwells offer interior design services beyond window treatments?

Yes. In addition to window treatments, J Bradwells offers full interior design consultation services. Jere Bradwell has over 30 years of professional experience serving high-end residential clients. We assist with space planning, furniture selection, fabric and finish selections, and overall room design. We also carry a curated selection of home furnishings and decor in our showroom.

How much does an interior design consultation cost?

Our initial in-home consultation is completely free with no obligation. We come to your home, assess the space, listen to your vision, and provide professional guidance at no cost. If you decide to move forward with a design project, we will discuss fees and scope at that time.

What style of design does J Bradwells specialize in?

We work across a range of styles — from classic and traditional to transitional and contemporary — with particular strength in refined, sophisticated residential interiors. We believe good design is about understanding how you live in your home, not imposing a trend. We listen first.

Can J Bradwells help with a full room redesign, or just window treatments?

Either. Many clients come to us specifically for window treatments and discover we offer much more. Others engage us for a full room project from the start. There is no minimum scope — we are happy to help with one window or an entire home.

Does J Bradwells work with interior designers and other trade professionals?

Yes. We have a formal Trade Partner Program for interior designers, decorators, and architects in the New Hope and Lambertville region. Because J Bradwells is the only Hunter Douglas Gallery dealer in the area, many design professionals use our showroom as a trusted resource. We have a written commitment that we will never solicit or accept design project work from a trade partner's clients — their client relationship is always protected.

Do you offer a referral commission to designers?

Yes. We offer a referral commission of 10% of the net sale on orders placed by clients referred by trade partners, paid within 30 days of completed installation. Our Trade Partner Agreement formalizes the arrangement and includes a non-solicitation clause protecting the referring designer's client relationship.

Can a designer bring their client to your showroom?

Absolutely — and we encourage it. Our Gallery showroom displays the full Hunter Douglas product line, including working motorized samples. Most area designers work from limited product kits; our showroom lets their clients experience the products firsthand. We handle measuring, ordering, and installation so the designer can focus on the design vision.

What does a Hunter Douglas Gallery showroom offer that a kit dealer cannot?

A kit dealer has swatches representing a limited portion of the Hunter Douglas line. A Gallery showroom has fully operational, properly displayed samples of every product category. Your client can raise and lower a shade, adjust a sheer, operate a motorized blind by app — they can experience exactly what they are buying. This consistently leads to higher client confidence and satisfaction.
